"Green Room everyone! It is time for notes"- Ron Schulz
Okay, folks, the Jimmy National Dog and Pony Show Tour continues. Last weekend I was in Dallas and New Orleans. This weekend I go to NYC, then, in two weeks it’s off to Los Angeles and the week after that is Portland – at least right now. And yes, I’m still holding down a full time job. I’m not sure how, but I am. So I’m grabbling two seconds while I’m taking a break from Halloween preparations to do a fast and dirty edition of The Notes.
First Brad Williams checks in.
Check out this article. Our show is getting extreme notices from all of the major tv critics in all areas of the country. For those who still believe, as we said in the 70's, that theatre was life, film was art, and tv was furniture....well, maybe not!
Thanks for all you do James!

Needless to say, the link is to a great New Yorker article on Friday Night Lights, which of course features our own Brad Leland (Williams).
I don’t know what I did for information before Jonathan Marks learned how to use the forward
button. He sent me the following from Tawny Mertes.
Hey Guys!
Just wanted to let y’all know that I'm doing a new show and would love for everyone to come out and see it. All needed information is included underneath as well as a link to the promo trailer. My part in it is relatively small, but it is a great ensemble cast doing a supremely well crafted courtroom drama that will definitely get you thinking. I believe you can still purchase presale tickets from me by cash only if you are willing to commit to a specific
date ahead of time, just let me know, (818) 481-4239. Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the start of Fall!

And even though he was putting the final coat of polish on “A Chorus Line”, Jonathan found time to forward this from Cat Parker.
Hello Everyone!
I've been a busy bee lately and wanted to let you know about the results. First, I've been assisting Jerry Zaks on the Broadway production of "A Bronx Tale" by Chazz Palmenteri. For more info, click here.
Secondly, I'm very proud to say that I have directed the New York premiere of "Sister Cities" by one of LA's favorite playwrights, Colette Freedman. All the basic info
is in the pretty picture below. What it doesn't tell you is that the acting in this show is superb, the set is incredible (thanks, George!), and the writer has a wonderful ear for dialogue and storytelling.
My last production, "Picasso at the Lapin Agile", won an award at the New York Innovative Theatre award event, and I'm hoping to not only live up to that standard with this production, but to by-pass it! Come and let me know if you think I've succeeded.
Peace
Cat
You can get more info about Sister Cites at: http//www.tschreiber.org.
And finally, a Will Bigham sighting. Y’all remember Will, don’t you?
Hi guys,
If anyone is going to be around Canyon, TX (near Amarillo) this Saturday, Will Bigham is going to be in town. They are having a post On the Lot reception for him where he can say hello and thank everyone for voting all summer! So, if
you can make it, the reception is this Saturday from 2 to 4 pm at Freedom Fellowship Church, 8410 Hunsley Rd., Canyon, TX. We would love to see you!

Okay, I gotta run. Costumes do not make themselves and suitcases do not pack on their own.
That’s it for this time.
Don’t forget to check the board as you leave!
